Virtual queue not easy for all to navigate. Free parking again for hotel guests and excellent, reliable resort transportation.Įxcellent first aid centres with great staff on hand if needed.Ĭons- Genie plus and lightening lane putting extra strain on people who have already bought tickets. WDW is well organised, such as early morning arrival queue management (seemed better handled than an universal). Still a lot of waste and far too much plastic cutlery going in the bins. Some effort at recycling and paper straws but nowhere near enough. Pros- Excellent choice of food and drink, including healthy, allergy friendly and plant based. Food is the biggest highlight for me these days, along with the theming ambiance. Having said all of this, Disney is still my favourite theme park. They have already bought their theme park ticket, so should be able to queue for all rides. It’s upsetting to think that many people might be missing out on new rides that they are entitled to ride. It’s also not fair on people who are not tech savvy. Whilst we got on really well with joining virtual queues, it’s not a relaxing way to be on holiday, up at 7am stressing about it. I also don’t like the fact that you can’t queue for new rides. We’ve been here before so we used that time to relax by the pool, rather than ride something we’ve done previously. By then, queues seemed so huge that we couldn’t ride anything. Instead, we arrived early, queued for what was our priority then left in the afternoon. People have already paid a lot for tickets, then they are expected to pay more?! I don’t like that. The worst part? The replacement of fast passes with genie plus and lightening lanes. We’ve been here lots of times over the years and whilst it’s still the best theme park in many way (great food options, restrooms everywhere and generally well organised), it’s not quite what it was and so I’d think carefully before returning. Had a wonderful week staying in Disney world.
